Cristobal Sadurni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelino Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patricio Licerio in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristobal Sadurni saved La Banda de la Patri from getting behind. After a rather tough play, La Banda de la Patri's Rosendo Breogan got a free kick in the 13th minute. La Banda de la Patri's Cristobal Sadurni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelino Duarte in the 15th minute of play. Hernan Quinto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Cortez having to make a save. In the 27th minute, Patricio Licerio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isidoro Conrao's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pedro Cortez firmly grabbed it by the left post. Hernan Quinto hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Agustin Chepe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Angelino Duarte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristobal Sadurni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santo Licerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Faro's Pedro Cortez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustin Chepe in the 54th minute of play. Patricio Licerio came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cristobal Sadurni could save by the left post. If Agustin Chepe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Angelino Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Faro's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelino Duarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristobal Sadurni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 63rd minute Angelino Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Sadurni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hernan Quinto during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, La Banda de la Patri's Hernan Quinto got a free kick in the 66th minute.
