Hipolito Leocadio charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hipolito Leocadio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 28 minutes, Efrain Bernaldo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the la maquina and the Olimpo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Efrain Bernaldo kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After some careless play in the la maquina defense, Herbert Gaszynski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santos Batista. The la maquina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santos Batista should have stopped the shot. la maquina's Santos Batista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save la maquina from getting a goal against them. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Placido Rainerio kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. A collision led to Olimpo getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Justino Muc hit a great ball. Ricardo Macias came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and João Gois could save by the left post. Anselmo Cortez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 82 minutes, Herbert Gaszynski made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. la maquina's Santos Batista tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Herbert Gaszynski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Batista having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Aimar in the 94th minute of play forced Olimpo's goalkeeper João Gois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Olimpo had played much better football throughout.
