Tapso AFC's Guido Piorno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Aimar in the 13th minute of play. Nicanor Filipo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 minutes, Efrain Bernaldo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the la maquina and the Tapso AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ricardo Macias to strike the kick off in the second half. Ricardo Macias struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Guido Piorno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for la maquina. If Eduardo Perico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arturo Aimar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Guido Piorno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ricardo Macias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guido Piorno was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. A collision led to la maquina getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Arturo Aimar hit a great ball. Tapso AFC's Eduardo Perico managed to work through la maquina's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Tapso AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
