After 19 minutes of play, la maquina's Ricardo Macias made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Viktor Pindev was left in no man's land by his defense there! GRAN MALVINA's Victorio Estefan got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mario Aresti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Santos Batista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute Placido Rainerio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viktor Pindev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mario Aresti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Batista having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mario Aresti stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 79thth minute of the game Mario Aresti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but la maquina's Santos Batista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. la maquina's Santos Batista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorio Estefan in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Aresti in the 97th minute of play forced la maquina's goalkeeper Santos Batista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the GRAN MALVINA players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
