RAFO ATHLETIC FUTBOL CLUB's Paulo Tiso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agatas Rimkus in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliberto Tello in the 20th minute of play forced Havana FC's goalkeeper Serafino Arnau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Havana FC defense, Evelio Maurino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Serafino Arnau. The Havana FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serafino Arnau should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Havana FC booed when RAFO ATHLETIC FUTBOL CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Silban didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angelino Aznar might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo Tiso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Angelino Aznar ran back to his position shaking his head. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Agatas Rimkus made the kick off in the second half. Angelino Aznar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelino Aznar in the 54th minute of play forced RAFO ATHLETIC FUTBOL CLUB's goalkeeper Paulo Tiso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes into the game, Havana FC's Angelino Aznar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo Tiso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. In the 57th match minute, RAFO ATHLETIC FUTBOL CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hilario Chuan to maneuver through the defense. Havana FC's Agatas Rimkus got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo Tiso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agatas Rimkus in the 61st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustavo Bixintxo during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Havana FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Gustavo Bixintxo hit a great ball. Paulo Tiso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelino Aznar, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After having played for 77 minutes, Agatas Rimkus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Havana FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agatas Rimkus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelino Aznar in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Tiso saved RAFO ATHLETIC FUTBOL CLUB from getting behind. Angelino Aznar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Tiso having to interfere. A collision led to RAFO ATHLETIC FUTBOL CLUB getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Rodrigo Silban hit a great ball. Angelino Aznar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. RAFO ATHLETIC FUTBOL CLUB were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Havana FC's much stronger midfield.
