To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the game, Justino Peio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AS El Bajo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Herbaloides the free kick. Justino Peio kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Igor Jerrold to strike the kick off in the second half. Herbaloides's Placido Pedroso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleto Constancio in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st match minute, Herbaloides was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Franco to maneuver through the defense. If Cleto Constancio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cleto Constancio in the 65th minute of play forced Herbaloides's goalkeeper Placido Pedroso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 67 played minutes Herbaloides got a freekick which was hit by Damaso Lope. Cleto Constancio struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Placido Pedroso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AS El Bajo. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Amancio Faron managed to get in a good position for a shot. AS El Bajo's supporters rose to their feet, but Amancio Faron was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Placido Pedroso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th minute, Herbaloides's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cleto Constancio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Placido Pedroso made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Amancio Faron sent off a good shot on target. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Herbaloides's goalkeeper Placido Pedroso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 97 minutes, Amancio Faron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AS El Bajo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amancio Faron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched AS El Bajo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
