Acuña's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Delmiro Abechuco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 29th minute, Herminio Cruz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arsenio Berenguer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Sergio Ledesma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delmiro Abechuco scored 0-3 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pablo Quinton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arsenio Berenguer made a kick off.
