Virgilio Berto was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 9th minute. Club Recreativo San Jorge's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Recreativo San Jorge's Filomeno Ourente slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tobias Bartuelo. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. If Virgilio Berto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tobias Bartuelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filomeno Ourente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 23 in the game by Virgilio Berto from a close distance when the talented Tobias Bartuelo managed to make a qualified save. ProvidenciaClub's players were relieved. In the 24th minute, Baldomiro Flores hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virgilio Berto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Tobias Bartuelo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. ProvidenciaClub's supporters rose to their feet, but Saverio Eli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Maureo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Saverio Eli was the one to do the kick off. Victoriano Frances hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Saverio Eli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Marcos Maureo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Virgilio Berto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Bartuelo having to interfere. Tobias Bartuelo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filomeno Ourente went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Virgilio Berto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Tobias Bartuelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Maureo was a little too slow when Saverio Eli got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 2-1. Marcos Maureo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saverio Eli, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Constantino Evangelista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Marcos Maureo made a huge save. ProvidenciaClub's Tobias Bartuelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Berto in the 81st minute of play. Ruben Gombal kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Club Recreativo San Jorge's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
