A collision led to Soldados de Fort FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Adan Feo hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Feliberto Cai sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luisito Domeka skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, Soldados de Fort FC's Luisito Domeka got control of the ball when Roberto Santana tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 32 minutes, Filomeno Ourente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Filomeno Ourente got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Virgilio Berto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Luisito Domeka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hugo Tajo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Igor Ponc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Filomeno Ourente was the one to do the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgilio Berto couldn't finish the play. 62 minutes into the game, Mario Monico was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Soldados de Fort FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Recreativo San Jorge the free kick. Club Recreativo San Jorge's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
