After having played for 23 minutes, Jairo Urtungo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Patronato's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jairo Urtungo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Club Atletico Patronato getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Eulalio Montrel hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Higinio Bonifaco to make the kick off. If Jairo Urtungo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Epifanio Florin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leonel Bernard. Delicia FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jairo Urtungo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonel Bernard was relentless in the 84th minute of the game.
