The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gregorio Miro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filiberto Fonda in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute Filiberto Fonda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Miro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnoldo Stanislao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Feliciano Bernaldos short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Leonel Bernard to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 18 minutes into the game, Delicia FC's Filiberto Fonda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gregorio Miro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After some careless play in the Osamenta Fútbol Club defense, Filiberto Fonda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gregorio Miro. The Osamenta Fútbol Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gregorio Miro should have stopped the shot. After 25 minutes, Benedicto Lopez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Delicia FC and the Osamenta Fútbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th minute, Benedicto Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonel Bernard was a little too slow when Arnoldo Stanislao got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 2-2. Filiberto Fonda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Gregorio Miro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, Higinio Bonifaco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Gregorio Miro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Delicia FC's Leonel Bernard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldo Stanislao in the 42nd minute of play. Leonel Bernard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Stanislao, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Feliciano Bernaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Bernard having to interfere. After the first half Delicia FC were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Higinio Bonifaco made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Delicia FC's zone, Feliciano Bernaldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonel Bernard came out of the goal and Feliciano Bernaldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Feliciano Bernaldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Delicia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Stanislao came free, but Leonel Bernard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonel Bernard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Stanislao in the 64th minute of play. Arnoldo Stanislao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Bernard having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Eustaquio Raymundo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonel Bernard was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. Eustaquio Raymundo charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eustaquio Raymundo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliciano Bernaldo in the 81st minute of play forced Delicia FC's goalkeeper Leonel Bernard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Filiberto Fonda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Delicia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Filiberto Fonda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gregorio Miro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Delicia FC's Anacleto Brion got a free kick in the 90th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Osamenta Fútbol Club's zone, Filiberto Fonda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregorio Miro came out of the goal and Filiberto Fonda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
