Spectators: 7191 (Terracing: 5395, Seating: 1653, VIP seats: 143) 19 minutes into the match, Estrella del Sur's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Diegotxe came free, but Fabricio Goren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 24 minutes, Patricio Atauri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estrella del Sur and the Salado players grew even worse after the yellow card. After recieving a nice pass, Salado's Jeremias Roldan tried to score from far away in the 25th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Estrella del Sur booed when Salado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Celedonio Argina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celedonio Argina in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabricio Goren saved Estrella del Sur from getting behind. Isidoro Diegotxe struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Fabricio Goren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salado. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Estrella del Sur's goalkeeper Fabricio Goren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

Prudencio Hodei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Lizardi in the 56th minute of play. Fabricio Goren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isidoro Diegotxe went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 67th minute of the match Ovidio Quintyn shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Prudencio Hodei showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bernardino Jax received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Prudencio Hodei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rolando Lizardi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabricio Goren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidoro Diegotxe in the 76th minute. Isidoro Diegotxe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Fabricio Goren made a huge save. 79 minutes into the match, Bernardino Jax notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Salado's Prudencio Hodei. Prudencio Hodei was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Estrella del Sur's Fabricio Goren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Estrella del Sur from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute, Bernardino Jax got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 96 minutes, Rolando Lizardi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estrella del Sur's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolando Lizardi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Salado eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
