Spectators: 7208 (Terracing: 5408, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 143) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Maximo Frutos got the match started through his kick off. After 5 minutes of play Estrella del Sur's Omar Endira was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 6th match minute, Estrella del Sur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Endira to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Diablos Rojos's Jeronimo Artal tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Isidro Muc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Fabricio Goren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardino Jax hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute, Jeronimo Artal sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Estrella del Sur's Fabricio Goren didn't even have to move. In the 13th minute, Jonathan Godoy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In a very dangerous position, a player in Estrella del Sur fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 14th minute. Penalty! Diablos Rojos's Aristides Asier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolando Lizardi in the 20th minute of play. Estrella del Sur's Rolando Lizardi got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rolando Lizardi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venancio Bieito's late challenge caught a Diablos Rojos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Venancio Bieito helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Estrella del Sur's Venancio Bieito got a free kick in the 27th minute. Isidro Muc who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Fabricio Goren when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Fabricio Goren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maximo Frutos's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Aristides Asier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardino Jax, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Rolando Lizardi made the kick off in the second half. Fabricio Goren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidro Muc in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Estrella del Sur's Venancio Bieito got a free kick in the 53rd minute. If Maximo Frutos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venancio Bieito kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Maximo Frutos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabricio Goren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Fabricio Goren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carolo Sanduru in the 63rd minute of the match. Rolando Lizardi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristides Asier having to interfere. Maximo Frutos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jonathan Godoy fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estrella del Sur's protests and gave Jonathan Godoy a yellow card for diving instead. Isidro Muc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 74 played minutes Estrella del Sur got a freekick which was hit by Bernardino Jax. Fabricio Goren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidro Muc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
