After having played for 9 minutes, Esteve Frederico managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Surf's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esteve Frederico was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Robustiano Ignatius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 18 minutes, Guido Ignatius mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atletico Surf and the Belgrano FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Guido Ignatius hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Edgard Martxel came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Belgrano FC's Rogelio Venceslao. But to his dismay, Rogelio Venceslao quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Rogelio Venceslao struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Edgard Martxel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgrano FC. Eduardo Pepillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Martxel having to interfere. Aristides Haritzeder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, Esteve Frederico had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ernesto Louis. Belgrano FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Esteve Frederico was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Ernesto Louis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteve Frederico, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Rogelio Venceslao might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgard Martxel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rogelio Venceslao ran back to his position shaking his head. Eduardo Pepillo took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgard Martxel. Edgard Martxel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. With a little luck, Belgrano FC's Ernesto Louis got control of the ball when Robustiano Ignatius tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Club Atletico Surf getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Aristides Haritzeder hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Eduardo Pepillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 71st match minute, Club Atletico Surf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Candido Bermund to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute, Robustiano Ignatius fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Atletico Surf's Esteve Frederico slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ernesto Louis. That made the score 2-2 after 80 minutes of play.
