When Feliberto Cloyo came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Fulgura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Feliberto Cloyo couldn't finish the play. Roman Tano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Neil Boothey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roman Tano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neil Boothey, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Fulgura's Gustavo Sotil got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Ariel F.C's zone, Jonatan Chayo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roman Tano came out of the goal and Jonatan Chayo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 14 played minutes Fulgura got a freekick which was hit by Maximo Gabrio. Ariel F.C's Roman Tano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliberto Cloyo in the 17th minute of play. Roman Tano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliberto Cloyo in the 23rd minute of play. Roman Tano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Feliberto Cloyo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 25 minute of play. In the 29th minute Benedicto Honrio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Siro Gauargi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Neil Boothey took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Roman Tano to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, Ariel F.C's Roman Tano got control of the ball when Feliberto Cloyo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roman Tano was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Reynaldo Franco capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Reynaldo Franco really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Neil Boothey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, Feliberto Cloyo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Roman Tano, 5-0. Jonatan Chayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Feliberto Cloyo to make the kick off. When Neil Boothey came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Fulgura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Neil Boothey couldn't finish the play. After having played for 68 minutes, Reynaldo Franco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fulgura's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reynaldo Franco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 70 minutes into the match, Ariel F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Jonatan Chayo came free, but Roman Tano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francisco Pagomari hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Feliberto Cloyo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roman Tano was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Jonatan Chayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Tano having to interfere. Roman Tano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliberto Cloyo in the 96th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ariel F.C's zone, Gustavo Sotil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roman Tano came out of the goal and Gustavo Sotil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fulgura fully deserved thier win.
