Spectators: 6649 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1649, VIP seats: 0) Huargos FC's Sergio Satordi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ernesto Sarracino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Nataniel in the 13th minute of the match. Basilio Alvarez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celedonio Hodei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Satordi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Huargos FC's Ernesto Sarracino got control of the ball when Basilio Alvarez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Celedonio Hodei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Satordi, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Basilio Alvarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Amancio Adrio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Tucumán's supporters rose to their feet, but Amancio Adrio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Sarracino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Huargos FC's Ernesto Sarracino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Nataniel in the 34th minute of play. The supporters of Atlético Tucumán booed when Huargos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Johans didn't get a good kick on the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Ricardo Nataniel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ernesto Sarracino, 1-0. After 42 played minutes Atlético Tucumán got a freekick which was hit by Ariel Orkatz. Amado Kaxen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. The supporters of Huargos FC booed when Atlético Tucumán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Heli didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ricardo Nataniel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Basilio Alvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Sarracino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atlético Tucumán's Basilio Alvarez got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albino Estebano during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With his leg Celedonio Hodei managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Huargos FC's Alfonso Maraman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
