RIVER PLATE's Oscar Constancio got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eriberto Arano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Chan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Chapa Barber Fc.'s Jonas Richie slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edelmiro Jerano. That made the score 2-0 after 25 minutes of play. Oscar Constancio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Eriberto Arano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oscar Constancio took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eriberto Arano. Eriberto Arano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 42nd match minute, C.A. RIVER PLATE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Oihenarte to maneuver through the defense. In the 50th match minute, C.A. RIVER PLATE's Edelmiro Jerano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Feliu in the 73rd minute of play. If Oscar Constancio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodoro Chan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Eriberto Arano made a huge save. Eduardo Maju's late challenge caught a C.A. RIVER PLATE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 100th minute, Alfonso Feliu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edelmiro Jerano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfonso Feliu's shot from short distance in the 102nd minute. The Chapa Barber Fc. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. C.A. RIVER PLATE were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
