Spectators: 6654 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Denis Venceslas kicked off to start the match. Melo's Ignacio Vigil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Nataniel in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Melo's Denis Venceslas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Celedonio Hodei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Melo's zone, Ricardo Nataniel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ignacio Vigil came out of the goal and Ricardo Nataniel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute Denis Venceslas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celedonio Hodei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Jimeno Oalo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Atlético Tucumán's Celedonio Hodei. Celedonio Hodei was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Amancio Adrio charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amancio Adrio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Atlético Tucumán getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Amancio Adrio hit a great ball. Jimeno Oalo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Celedonio Hodei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusebio Joseph took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Celedonio Hodei. Atlético Tucumán's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ricardo Nataniel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ignacio Vigil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Denis Venceslas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celedonio Hodei having to interfere. The supporters of Melo booed when Atlético Tucumán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amancio Adrio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Denis Venceslas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jimeno Oalo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Celedonio Hodei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jimeno Oalo struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Celedonio Hodei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Melo. Celedonio Hodei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celestino Rami, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Basilio Alvarez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Vigil having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

53 minutes into the match, Atlético Tucumán's goalkeeper Celedonio Hodei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jimeno Oalo. Celedonio Hodei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jimeno Oalo in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Venceslas in the 57th minute of play forced Atlético Tucumán's goalkeeper Celedonio Hodei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes in the game, Jimeno Oalo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Celedonio Hodei having to interfere. After 59 minutes, Celestino Rami mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Melo and the Atlético Tucumán players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th minute, Celestino Rami hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Tucumán's zone, Denis Venceslas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celedonio Hodei came out of the goal and Denis Venceslas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Denis Venceslas came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Melo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denis Venceslas couldn't finish the play. Celedonio Hodei made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Jimeno Oalo sent off a good shot on target. Jimeno Oalo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Celedonio Hodei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Denis Venceslas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celedonio Hodei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jimeno Oalo in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Celedonio Hodei, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Celedonio Hodei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Venceslas in the 82nd minute of play. If Jimeno Oalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th match minute, Atlético Tucumán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Montrel to maneuver through the defense. Celedonio Hodei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Venceslas, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Celedonio Hodei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jimeno Oalo in the 87th minute. Denis Venceslas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Melo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Atlético Tucumán.
