Ramiro Pelayo hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the match, santamarina's goal looked a bit too open when Iker Vermudo came free, but Teo Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to santamarina getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Nereo Rocendo hit a great ball. Teo Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iker Vermudo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute, Iker Vermudo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Teo Santana. The goal made the score 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in santamarina's zone, Iker Vermudo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teo Santana came out of the goal and Iker Vermudo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iker Vermudo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teo Santana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Teo Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iker Vermudo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Serafin Normando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Iker Vermudo took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Teo Santana to make any attempt to save it. santamarina's Raul Bernad got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iker Vermudo to make the kick off. Prudencio Policarpio's late challenge caught a santamarina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Prudencio Policarpio helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Raul Bernad got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 64th minute, Prudencio Evis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osvaldo Oalo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Iker Vermudo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teo Santana having to interfere. Teo Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafin Normando in the 79th minute of the match. When Serafin Normando came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Royal Never Give Up fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serafin Normando couldn't finish the play. Iker Vermudo scored 3-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teo Santana, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Iker Vermudo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teo Santana having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Serafin Normando's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teo Santana was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. 95 minutes into the match, Royal Never Give Up's goal looked a bit too open when Prudencio Evis came free, but Osvaldo Oalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Prudencio Policarpio got his second yellow card in the match during the 96th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 96 played minutes Royal Never Give Up got a freekick which was hit by Prudencio Policarpio.
