The supporters of Saint Francis Football booed when Boca juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uriel Matro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute Daniel Ongile shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Mergildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Benjamin Banegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maximiliano Ferrer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Gabirel in the 26th minute of play. Boca juniors's Daniel Ongile got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benjamin Banegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Daniel Ongile fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Mergildo having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Bernardino Gabirel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saint Francis Football's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardino Gabirel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximiliano Ferrer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leo Mergildo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Ongile, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Boca juniors's Daniel Ongile sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leo Mergildo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emanuel Arnalt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Daniel Ongile got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leo Mergildo made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Anibal Arotza sent off a good shot on target. Emanuel Arnalt scored 1-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maximiliano Ferrer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Maximiliano Ferrer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Arnalt in the 92nd minute of the match.
