After 21 played minutes Italbate AFC got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Pelagius. Dalmacio Playo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Faro in the 26th minute of play. Florencio Cortez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. VELEZ contra AFAno's Cornelio Frasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Cortez in the 32nd minute of play. When Florencio Cortez came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Italbate AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florencio Cortez couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Antonio Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot. VELEZ contra AFAno's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonio Faro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dalmacio Playo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 44 minutes, Mauricio Manex managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Italbate AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauricio Manex was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antonio Faro to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Mauricio Manex managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Italbate AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauricio Manex was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Godofredo Ponc hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the match, Italbate AFC's goalkeeper Dalmacio Playo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Fliz. VELEZ contra AFAno's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
