If Santo Sagrario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 28 minutes, Fidel Inguma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Lorenzo de Almagro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fidel Inguma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santo Sagrario in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cornelio Frasco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santo Sagrario in the 33rd minute of play forced VELEZ contra AFAno's goalkeeper Cornelio Frasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, Santo Sagrario ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cornelio Frasco was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 0-4 became the score in the 36th minute when Santo Sagrario elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Santo Sagrario came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the San Lorenzo de Almagro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santo Sagrario couldn't finish the play. Jorge Fliz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Benedicto Millrick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Santo Sagrario made the kick off in the second half. Santo Sagrario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Fliz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benedicto Millrick read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Cornelio Frasco was a little too slow when Santo Sagrario got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-5. After 64 minutes, Prudencio Frichoso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VELEZ contra AFAno and the San Lorenzo de Almagro players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Leonel Florinio fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Lorenzo de Almagro's protests and gave Leonel Florinio a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, San Lorenzo de Almagro's Leonel Florinio got a free kick in the 65th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santo Sagrario in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cornelio Frasco saved VELEZ contra AFAno from getting behind. A collision led to VELEZ contra AFAno getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Prudencio Frichoso hit a great ball. Leonel Florinio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Cornelio Frasco made a huge save. Leonel Florinio came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cornelio Frasco could save by the left post. 72 minutes into the match, VELEZ contra AFAno's goal looked a bit too open when Fidel Inguma came free, but Cornelio Frasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fidel Inguma hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. If Leonel Florinio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 0-7 became the score in the 89th minute when Santo Sagrario elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Prudencio Frichoso kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After having played for 93 minutes, Santo Sagrario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Lorenzo de Almagro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santo Sagrario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cornelio Frasco didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when San Lorenzo de Almagro's Leonel Florinio shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-8 in the ordered_time% minute. When the match was over San Lorenzo de Almagro could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than VELEZ contra AFAno throughout the match.
