The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Placido Cerilo during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Hereford FC booed when Francis FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Placido Cerilo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Narciso Columbo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Arnaldo Leobardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Columbo in the 13th minute of play forced Hereford FC's goalkeeper Arnaldo Leobardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Narciso Columbo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artemio Magdaleno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Americo Izel in the 18th minute of play. Arnaldo Leobardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narciso Columbo, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Arnaldo Leobardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigio Montrel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Artemio Magdaleno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arsenio Nevada in the 33rd minute. Remigio Montrel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Leobardo having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Narciso Columbo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Francis FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Arnaldo Leobardo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Remigio Montrel went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Americo Izel was the one to do the kick off. If Narciso Columbo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Narciso Columbo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Arnaldo Leobardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Hereford FC's zone, Narciso Columbo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnaldo Leobardo came out of the goal and Narciso Columbo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Artemio Magdaleno came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Hereford FC's Arsenio Nevada. But to his dismay, Arsenio Nevada quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Narciso Columbo got free with Arnaldo Leobardo in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Placido Cerilo kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Artemio Magdaleno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Americo Izel in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Hereford FC's goal looked a bit too open when Remigio Montrel came free, but Arnaldo Leobardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Francis FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
