Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ciro Chaime took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a little luck, Lanús's Sérgio Valle got control of the ball when Silvano Frutos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sérgio Valle was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Ciro Chaime capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ciro Chaime really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 19th minute, Silvano Frutos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 24th minute, Ciro Chaime hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silvano Frutos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sérgio Valle didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 28th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. After having played for 31 minutes, Paolo Incendio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After a rather tough play, Sol y Sierra FC's Juan Gauargi got a free kick in the 45th minute. After 47 played minutes, Lanús's Romulo Chale shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cayetano Gelmiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lanús reached it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Paolo Incendio made the kick off in the second half. Romulo Chale made a great header on Lanús's corner, it was just that Sol y Sierra FC's Cayetano Gelmiro managed to reach the ball for a save. When Ciro Chaime came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Sol y Sierra FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Chaime couldn't finish the play. When Mauro Farias fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sol y Sierra FC's protests and gave Mauro Farias a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sol y Sierra FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Mauro Farias hit a great ball. Ciro Chaime sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sérgio Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Chaime, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Chaime in the 74th minute of play forced Lanús's goalkeeper Sérgio Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute Silvano Frutos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Fausto Intxixu came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Lanús fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Intxixu couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Lanús booed when Sol y Sierra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Farias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciro Chaime sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciro Chaime blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sérgio Valle having to make a save. 91 minutes into the game, Felipe Martinez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lanús's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sol y Sierra FC the free kick. In the 91st match minute, Lanús was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Martinez to maneuver through the defense. If Ciro Chaime had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sol y Sierra FC fully deserved thier win.
