After a defensive mix-up in Brizancio's zone, Narciso Columbo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerardo Caton came out of the goal and Narciso Columbo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francis FC's Remigio Montrel was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 8th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. If Humberto Tome had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artemio Magdaleno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Sendoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Narciso Columbo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Gerardo Caton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Francis FC's Angel Unai got a free kick in the 19th minute. Humberto Tome sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Artemio Magdaleno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Tome in the 34th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diego Sendoa to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Francis FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Humberto Tome fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Artemio Magdaleno stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Sendoa's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Narciso Columbo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Sendoa couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Francis FC had won after a very even match.
