In the 9th minute, Ciro Francesco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 10 minutes into the game, Mauro Farias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sol y Sierra FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Estrella Federal the free kick. Mauro Farias hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Sol y Sierra FC's Cayetano Gelmiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Sol y Sierra FC from getting a goal against them. If Juan Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute of the match Juan Torres shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cayetano Gelmiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Juan Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute Ciro Chaime shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Socorro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guaberto Socorro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Chaime in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvano Frutos in the 26th minute of play forced Estrella Federal's goalkeeper Guaberto Socorro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cayetano Gelmiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Guaberto Socorro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Chaime in the 44th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Juan Torres made the kick off in the second half. Guaberto Socorro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Chaime in the 52nd minute of the match. Estrella Federal's Guaberto Socorro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Estrella Federal from getting a goal against them. Cayetano Gelmiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Torres in the 55th minute of the match. Ciro Francesco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cayetano Gelmiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Silvano Frutos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Guaberto Socorro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Thanks to some nice moves Silvano Frutos could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Guaberto Socorro however easily saved by the left post. When Estrella Federal's Ciro Francesco in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sol y Sierra FC's goalie prevented a goal. Paolo Fonda was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 64 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, Federico Oriol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Estrella Federal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Mauro Farias kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Ciro Chaime got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 89 minutes, Cecilio Laurgain managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estrella Federal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cecilio Laurgain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ciro Chaime came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Sol y Sierra FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Chaime couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Estrella Federal defense, Silvano Frutos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guaberto Socorro. The Estrella Federal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guaberto Socorro should have stopped the shot. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
