Spectators: 6404 (Terracing: 5404, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Remigio Montrel kicked off to start the match. If Ariel Gartzea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Alejandro Feo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 6 minutes into the match, Menga38's goal looked a bit too open when Remigio Montrel came free, but Virgilio Cordarius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Menga38's Jeremias Guib got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute, Baldomiro Urbez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute of the match Maximino Iturri sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Virgilio Cordarius skillfully saved the ball. Remigio Montrel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Cordarius having to interfere. Jeremias Guib hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, Narciso Columbo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Menga38's Virgilio Cordarius. Virgilio Cordarius was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Menga38's zone, Remigio Montrel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgilio Cordarius came out of the goal and Remigio Montrel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francis FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Ariel Gartzea scored to the left of an out of position Artemio Magdaleno, making the score, 1-1. Virgilio Cordarius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigio Montrel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Marcos Donzel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th match minute, Francis FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximino Iturri to maneuver through the defense. Narciso Columbo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Angel Unai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Virgilio Cordarius was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Virgilio Cordarius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Columbo in the 37th minute of play. Narciso Columbo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Menga38 defense, Remigio Montrel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgilio Cordarius. The Menga38 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgilio Cordarius should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ariel Gartzea was the one to do the kick off. Ariel Gartzea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the match, Menga38's goalkeeper Virgilio Cordarius had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angel Unai. Placido Cerilo hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Remigio Montrel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Artemio Magdaleno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ariel Gartzea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Menga38's Virgilio Cordarius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remigio Montrel in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute Remigio Montrel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Cordarius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remigio Montrel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Virgilio Cordarius came out and tried to block the shot, but Remigio Montrel slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 76th minute. In the 87th minute Remigio Montrel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Cordarius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 89 minutes, Narciso Columbo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Francis FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Narciso Columbo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Menga38's Virgilio Cordarius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Menga38 from getting a goal against them. In the 96th minute, Placido Cerilo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
