A wasted opportunity for Luzuriaga FC. When Benjamin Mero came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Luzuriaga FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Mero couldn't finish the play. Pablo Txomin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Chaime, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute Ciro Chaime shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Txomin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 minutes, Roque Baldovino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sol y Sierra FC and the Luzuriaga FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Candido Vitin fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Luzuriaga FC's protests and gave Candido Vitin a yellow card for diving instead. Luzuriaga FC:s Pablo Txomin showed great skill when he stopped Juan Gauargi:s penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Chaime in the 32nd minute of play forced Luzuriaga FC's goalkeeper Pablo Txomin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 33 played minutes Sol y Sierra FC got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Chaime. In the 35th match minute, Sol y Sierra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Farias to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Cayetano Gelmiro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Cayetano Txurio came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Luzuriaga FC fans jumped to their feet. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benjamin Mero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Silvano Frutos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Txomin having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Manuel Bertol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute of the match Candido Vitin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cayetano Gelmiro skillfully saved the ball. Pablo Txomin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvano Frutos, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Benjamin Mero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Gelmiro having to interfere. If Simone Vergassola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Sol y Sierra FC's Mauro Farias got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sol y Sierra FC's zone, Celestino Checa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cayetano Gelmiro came out of the goal and Celestino Checa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66th minute, Benjamin Mero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Benjamin Mero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Eustacio Mitxaut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The throw-in from Manuel Bertol in the 76th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Luzuriaga FC's Celestino Checa. In the 77th minute Benjamin Mero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Gelmiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Benjamin Mero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luzuriaga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Mero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cayetano Gelmiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 84th minute, Eusebio Ixidor made a precise shot to the right of Cayetano Gelmiro. Sol y Sierra FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Cayetano Txurio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the game, Mauro Farias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sol y Sierra FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Luzuriaga FC the free kick. Mauro Farias kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Luzuriaga FC's goalkeeper Pablo Txomin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silvano Frutos. Cayetano Txurio's late challenge caught a Sol y Sierra FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cayetano Txurio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th match minute, Luzuriaga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cayetano Txurio to maneuver through the defense. Luzuriaga FC's Pablo Txomin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Luzuriaga FC from getting a goal against them. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Luzuriaga FC had played much better football throughout.
