A wasted opportunity for Estrella Federal. 12 minutes into the game, Higinio Raymon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Estrella Federal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BJ FC the free kick. Guaberto Socorro had in the 13thth minute some difficulties stopping Bernardino Geofredo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Bernardino Geofredo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Guaberto Socorro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeronimo Macerio in the 16th minute of play forced Estrella Federal's goalkeeper Guaberto Socorro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, BJ FC's Hugo Kaiet dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 20th minute, Paolo Fonda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in BJ FC's zone, Rogelio Geofredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aristides Prejun came out of the goal and Rogelio Geofredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aristides Prejun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Francesco in the 26th minute of the match. Hugo Kaiet received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Guaberto Socorro came out and tried to block the shot, but Hugo Kaiet slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 28th minute. Aristides Prejun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciro Francesco's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Hugo Kaiet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Socorro having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeronimo Macerio in the 34th minute of play forced Estrella Federal's goalkeeper Guaberto Socorro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute of the match, Jaime Medero tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Guaberto Socorro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 35 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Estrella Federal! Ciro Francesco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Aristides Prejun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Estrella Federal's Cecilio Laurgain got a free kick in the 44th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ciro Francesco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Juan Torres hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Kaiet in the 52nd minute of play forced Estrella Federal's goalkeeper Guaberto Socorro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute Hugo Kaiet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Socorro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cecilio Laurgain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 63 minutes, Ciro Francesco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estrella Federal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Francesco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cecilio Laurgain could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Aristides Prejun made a huge save. Guaberto Socorro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Kaiet in the 67th minute of the match. In the 74th minute Hugo Kaiet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Socorro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Cecilio Laurgain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Estrella Federal's supporters rose to their feet, but Cecilio Laurgain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aristides Prejun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aristides Prejun was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Cecilio Laurgain capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cecilio Laurgain really showed his touch with that goal: 4-1. Miguel Kiliz hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Guaberto Socorro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Geofredo in the 89th minute of play. Guaberto Socorro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeronimo Macerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Hugo Kaiet scored 5-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guaberto Socorro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
