Halcones de Tegucigalpa's Marcelino Aballe got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 1-0 became the score in the 13th minute when Gabriel Lehoi elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 17th minute Gabriel Lehoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casimiro Ekhi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Halcones de Tegucigalpa's zone, Saul Panpili stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teobaldo Domenec came out of the goal and Saul Panpili tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 22 minutes, Saul Panpili managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colon de San Justo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saul Panpili was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 23rd match minute, Halcones de Tegucigalpa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carolo Txanton to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 25 minutes, Casimiro Marino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colon de San Justo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casimiro Marino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teobaldo Domenec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Urre in the 26th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Saul Panpili might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teobaldo Domenec. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saul Panpili ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcelino Aballe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 95th minute, one of Colon de San Justo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Colon de San Justo. In the 98th minute there was a penalty for Halcones de Tegucigalpa. Claudio Lehoi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Casimiro Ekhi. 2-3. Colon de San Justo played a much better game than Halcones de Tegucigalpa and deserved their victory. The Halcones de Tegucigalpa players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
