Eduardo Caetano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Genaro Lauren in the 38th minute. Eduardo Caetano was a little too slow when Ubaldo Tello got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 47th minute, Gallinas ATR's Remigio Raulo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eduardo Caetano. Eduardo Caetano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The audience was convinced that Ubaldo Tello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eduardo Caetano was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Sanagasta FC's Horacio Sindo got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sanagasta FC's goalkeeper Eduardo Caetano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
