The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Sevillistas getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Rafael Hulberto hit a great ball. Alonzo Min struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Guaberto Frasquito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reyes. With his leg Leopoldo Raphael managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Sevillistas's Candido Gaitano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sevillistas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Candido Gaitano in the 27th minute. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Candido Gaitano put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Leopoldo Raphael. Fabio Pio kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Amado Miro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Candido Gaitano succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 46th playminute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Celso James was the one to do the kick off. Leopoldo Raphael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Ignazio in the 52nd minute of the match. The Sevillistas fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Sevillistas's Candido Gaitano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Amado Miro fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sevillistas's protests and gave Amado Miro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th match minute, Sevillistas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amado Miro to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Reyes booed when Sevillistas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amado Miro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sevillistas's Guaberto Frasquito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso James in the 96th minute of play. Sevillistas's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
