In the 8th minute Inocencio Chico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Txilar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjamin Txilar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inocencio Chico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Libertad's Tomas Olivar got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Faustino Berdaitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, Faustino Berdaitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Arroyito FC's zone, Faustino Berdaitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Loco came out of the goal and Faustino Berdaitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Olivar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Loco having to interfere. Arroyito FC's Ernesto Loco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Olivar in the 28th minute of play. Ismael Lohitzun's late challenge caught a Libertad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ismael Lohitzun helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes Arroyito FC got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Lohitzun. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Tomas Olivar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Libertad's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Olivar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Loco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Faustino Berdaitz in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernesto Loco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 38 minutes of play, Libertad's Tomas Olivar made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernesto Loco was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Olivar in the 44th minute of play forced Arroyito FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Loco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

52 minutes into the match, Libertad's goal looked a bit too open when Inocencio Chico came free, but Benjamin Txilar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Inocencio Chico ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benjamin Txilar was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 59th minute Tomas Olivar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Loco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Inocencio Chico made a precise shot to the right of Benjamin Txilar. Libertad's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Faustino Berdaitz struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Ernesto Loco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Libertad. Arroyito FC's Inocencio Chico got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vinicio Vedillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benjamin Txilar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vinicio Vedillo ran back to his position shaking his head. Anibal Quico hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Faustino Berdaitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Ernesto Loco made a huge save. Inocencio Chico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Benjamin Txilar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernesto Loco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Faustino Berdaitz went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Tomas Olivar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Loco having to interfere.
