When Jaime Rius came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Pankehá fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Rius couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Todo Rojo FC booed when Pankehá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prospero Balesio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th match minute, Pankehá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prospero Balesio to maneuver through the defense. Alonzo Maria made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Reynaldo Ospetsu sent off a good shot on target. Eleuterio Palos kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Jaime Rius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pankehá's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Rius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alejandro Astudillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alejandro Astudillo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jaime Rius went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Alonzo Maria made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reynaldo Ospetsu in the 28th minute. If Marcial Brion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alejandro Astudillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Rius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by Marcial Brion got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jaime Rius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Federico Baumar got free in front of the goal in the 39th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Alejandro Astudillo was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 42 played minutes, Pankehá's Mario Pabla shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alejandro Astudillo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pankehá reached it. If Federico Baumar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Federico Baumar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Alejandro Astudillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Rius stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Guilabertus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Todo Rojo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pankehá the free kick. If Federico Baumar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Marcial Brion came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Todo Rojo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcial Brion couldn't finish the play. Alejandro Astudillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Rius, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute Marcial Brion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Maria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaime Rius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alejandro Astudillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Rius in the 79th minute of play. Mario Firme hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Reynaldo Ospetsu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alonzo Maria having to make a save. In the 90th minute, Reynaldo Ospetsu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 94 minutes, Jaime Rius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pankehá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Rius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 98th minute, Marcial Brion got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Todo Rojo FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pankehá were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
