Horacio Tohias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Remigio Berdaitz made a precise shot to the right of Edelmiro Orland. Medinas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Remigio Berdaitz came free with the goalkeeper in the 23rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Edelmiro Orland could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Medinas's Tomas Dolfos got a free kick in the 24th minute. Evaristo Laurin hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Edelmiro Orland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Mosen in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, Medinas's Edelmiro Orland got control of the ball when Remigio Berdaitz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Armando Mosen's late challenge caught a Medinas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armando Mosen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 35th minute, Armando Mosen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benicio Eguntsenti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horacio Tohias in the 37th minute of the match. With a little luck, Medinas's Edelmiro Orland got control of the ball when Remigio Berdaitz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Remigio Berdaitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Edelmiro Orland made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Medinas's zone, Remigio Berdaitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edelmiro Orland came out of the goal and Remigio Berdaitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edelmiro Orland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Mosen in the 44th minute of play. In the 45thth minute of the game Evaristo Laurin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nueva Chicago's Benicio Eguntsenti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Medinas's Edelmiro Orland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Alfonso in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Edelmiro Orland came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Nueva Chicago's Remigio Berdaitz. But to his dismay, Remigio Berdaitz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After having played for 61 minutes, Remigio Berdaitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nueva Chicago's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remigio Berdaitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute, Enrique Nuno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horacio Tohias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benicio Eguntsenti having to interfere. When Tomas Dolfos came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Medinas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Dolfos couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Evaristo Laurin took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Benicio Eguntsenti to make any attempt to save it. Medinas were furious when Juan Karlo was red carded, 86 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 86th match minute, Medinas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Karlo to maneuver through the defense. If Remigio Berdaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
