Isac Veríssimo took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benicio Eguntsenti. Benicio Eguntsenti dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Charis Fotiadis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Alfonso in the 30th minute of play. If Isac Veríssimo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laureano Lluterio had several of the Nueva Chicago's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 35 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Benicio Eguntsenti as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 41st minute of the match Elias Cruz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benicio Eguntsenti showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 42nd minute, Rolando Oton made a precise shot to the right of Benicio Eguntsenti. Nueva Chicago's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. With 47 minutes on the clock, Leonides Suarez commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of SG Automotores:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nueva Chicago:s goal. It was a well-played corner which Julian Alfonso managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Alfonso was the one to do the kick off. Charis Fotiadis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Alfonso in the 65th minute of the match. Benicio Eguntsenti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laureano Lluterio, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Nueva Chicago's zone, Laureano Lluterio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benicio Eguntsenti came out of the goal and Laureano Lluterio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute Nueva Chicago were awarded a corner. Roque Oroitz went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 88th match minute, SG Automotores was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolando Oton to maneuver through the defense. SG Automotores's Arnoldo Lluterio was substituted for Laureano Lluterio. In the 96th minute, Arnoldo Lluterio made a precise shot to the right of Benicio Eguntsenti. Nueva Chicago's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Arnoldo Lluterio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benicio Eguntsenti having to make a save. In the 101st minute Arnoldo Lluterio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benicio Eguntsenti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benicio Eguntsenti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Lluterio, who was totally free with the ball in the 103rd minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SG Automotores fans cheered their team off the field, for while Nueva Chicago had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
