After having played for 18 minutes, Cleto Piarres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Epuyén's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cleto Piarres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Epuyén's Tadeo Valente got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pirovano AFC's Clemente Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeo Valente in the 21st minute of play. In the 25th minute, Pirovano AFC's Celestino Galtero ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pastor Estavan. Pastor Estavan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When Cipriano Ramone came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Pirovano AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cipriano Ramone couldn't finish the play. Cleto Piarres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Neto having to interfere. After 36 minutes of play, Epuyén's Rene Chano made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clemente Neto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Clemente Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeo Valente, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Tadeo Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Neto having to interfere. In the 45th match minute, Pirovano AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clodoveo Lobo to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Celestino Galtero made a kick off. Clemente Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleto Piarres in the 51st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cleto Piarres got free with Clemente Neto in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pastor Estavan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celestino Galtero, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute.
