The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Saul Rafel charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Saul Rafel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Carlos Saul FC's Saul Rafel got a free kick in the 5th minute. With a little luck, Carapato's Alvaro Bernebe got control of the ball when Hermengildo Nesto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carapato's Alvaro Bernebe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Carapato from getting a goal against them. Camilo Quexal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Damian Estefan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Carlos Saul FC's Gogo Hitz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alvaro Bernebe. Alvaro Bernebe yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Damian Estefan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nereo Caetano in the 39th minute of the match. With a little luck, Carapato's Alvaro Bernebe got control of the ball when Hermengildo Nesto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gogo Hitz in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alvaro Bernebe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nereo Caetano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Edgardo Acevedo fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carlos Saul FC's protests and gave Edgardo Acevedo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Carapato booed when Carlos Saul FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Acevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nereo Caetano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Carapato's goal looked a bit too open when Gogo Hitz came free, but Alvaro Bernebe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Carlos Saul FC's Hermengildo Nesto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alvaro Bernebe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Nesto in the 62nd minute of play forced Carapato's goalkeeper Alvaro Bernebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damian Estefan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Caetano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gogo Hitz in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alvaro Bernebe saved Carapato from getting behind. Hermengildo Nesto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nereo Caetano might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Damian Estefan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nereo Caetano ran back to his position shaking his head. After 81 played minutes Carapato got a freekick which was hit by Vladimiro Shantala. After 82 played minutes, Carlos Saul FC's Cosme Iraido shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alvaro Bernebe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carlos Saul FC reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gogo Hitz in the 88th minute of play forced Carapato's goalkeeper Alvaro Bernebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Carlos Saul FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Carapato had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
