Astor Rey scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Prospero Mirande, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Esperanza's Ramon Quinito got a free kick in the 28th minute. If Santos Etxatxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atilano Jobo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Prospero Mirande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Astor Rey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Mirande having to interfere. Atilano Jobo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Prospero Mirande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Astor Rey made the kick off in the second half. A nice corner shot did that Luisito Rivas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Prospero Mirande quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 57 minutes into the match, Los Cucarachos's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Rey came free, but Prospero Mirande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atilano Jobos short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Prospero Mirande to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 0-2 became the score in the 67th minute when Atilano Jobo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Astor Rey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prospero Mirande made an important save on a dangerous shot by Atilano Jobo in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute Astor Rey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Mirande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 79 played minutes Los Cucarachos got a freekick which was hit by Florentino Richie. With his leg Prospero Mirande managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Esperanza's Atilano Jobo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Prospero Mirande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Astor Rey, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Octavio Francesco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herminio Victoro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Esperanza had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
