When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Santos Etxatxu sped through Demshipek de Mercedes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cristian Manex. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nestor Savion in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Prospero Mirande prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Nestor Savion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Demshipek de Mercedes getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Silvano Koldo hit a great ball. Santos Etxatxu struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Cristian Manex didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Cucarachos. 41 minutes into the game, Los Cucarachos's Florentino Richie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristian Manex made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Florentino Richie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Manex having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Herminio Victoro made a kick off. When Santos Etxatxu came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Los Cucarachos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santos Etxatxu couldn't finish the play. In the 56th minute Santos Etxatxu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Manex saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santos Etxatxu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Manex came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Cucarachos's Herminio Victoro. But to his dismay, Herminio Victoro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 68 minutes into the match, Los Cucarachos's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Quexal came free, but Prospero Mirande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Demshipek de Mercedes booed when Los Cucarachos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Higinio Santo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 70 minutes, Prospero Mirande successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 72nd minute Santos Etxatxu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Manex saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nestor Savion got free with Prospero Mirande in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Herminio Victoro in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Cristian Manex showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herminio Victoro in the 80th minute of the match. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Cucarachos's goalkeeper Prospero Mirande, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tadeo Cutberto during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Demshipek de Mercedes's zone, Santos Etxatxu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Manex came out of the goal and Santos Etxatxu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Los Cucarachos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Demshipek de Mercedes had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
