After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Herminio Victoro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Cucarachos's supporters rose to their feet, but Herminio Victoro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Genaro Izel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Santos Etxatxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Herminio Victoro made a precise shot to the right of Genaro Izel. Champagne Talita FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Herminio Victoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Los Cucarachos's Prospero Mirande proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Los Cucarachos from getting a goal against them. In the 37th minute Santos Etxatxu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Izel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio Checa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Prospero Mirande made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Herminio Victoro was the one to do the kick off. Genaro Izel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herminio Victoro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvio Fagondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Mirande having to interfere. In the 66th minute Silvio Fagondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Mirande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th match minute, Champagne Talita FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateo Qwinton to maneuver through the defense. Silvio Fagondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santos Etxatxu got free with Genaro Izel in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Higinio Santo charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Higinio Santo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Los Cucarachos's Higinio Santo got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute, Mateo Frascuelo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 91 minutes, Silvio Fagondo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Champagne Talita FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvio Fagondo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mateo Frascuelo might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Prospero Mirande. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mateo Frascuelo ran back to his position shaking his head. Prospero Mirande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateo Frascuelo in the 94th minute of the match. After 95 minutes, Amancio Ilazki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Cucarachos and the Champagne Talita FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th minute, Amancio Ilazki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mateo Frascuelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Prospero Mirande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
