The referee ignored Esperanza's protests and gave Ramon Quinito a yellow card for diving instead. Gualterio Enetz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilano Jobo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 44th minute, Atilano Jobo made a precise shot to the right of Gualterio Enetz. 3 x 1 en la esquina's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Esperanza would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
