A collision led to Carmen getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Anibal Calvino hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the match, MUNICIPAL CAROYA's Hector Bernal broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Serafino Salamon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Ihintza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of MUNICIPAL CAROYA booed when Carmen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anibal Calvino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 49thth minute of the game Valentin Galoer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MUNICIPAL CAROYA's Evaristo Isidor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zeledon Ihintza made a kick off. If Justo Tano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valentin Galoer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evaristo Isidor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Segundo Umea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafino Salamon having to interfere.
