Spectators: 7100 (Terracing: 5325, Seating: 1633, VIP seats: 142) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Astor Rey got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the game, MUNICIPAL CAROYA's Segundo Umea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Octavio Francesco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The attack was good, but when Segundo Umea in the 12th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 15 minutes, Leopoldo Abalos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MUNICIPAL CAROYA and the Esperanza players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leopoldo Abalos hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 17thth minute of the game Astor Rey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MUNICIPAL CAROYA's Evaristo Isidor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 18th minute, Atilano Jobo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to MUNICIPAL CAROYA getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Leopoldo Abalos hit a great ball. Astor Rey struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Evaristo Isidor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esperanza. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Astor Rey in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evaristo Isidor saved MUNICIPAL CAROYA from getting behind. Atilano Jobo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zeledon Ihintza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isaac Sanson charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isaac Sanson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some careless play in the Esperanza defense, Segundo Umea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Octavio Francesco. The Esperanza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Octavio Francesco should have stopped the shot. When Astor Rey came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Esperanza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Astor Rey couldn't finish the play. Esperanza's Astor Rey got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

53 minutes into the match, MUNICIPAL CAROYA's Zeledon Ihintza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Octavio Francesco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, Esperanza's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Ihintza came free, but Octavio Francesco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. MUNICIPAL CAROYA's Evaristo Isidor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save MUNICIPAL CAROYA from getting a goal against them. Evaristo Isidor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Atilano Jobo in the 59th minute. MUNICIPAL CAROYA's Evaristo Isidor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Astor Rey in the 60th minute of play. Evaristo Isidor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Astor Rey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hector Bernal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Octavio Francesco. Esperanza's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Evaristo Isidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Astor Rey in the 73rd minute of play. After 74 played minutes MUNICIPAL CAROYA got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Abalos. After 79 played minutes MUNICIPAL CAROYA got a freekick which was hit by Tadeo Vincente. Ramon Quinito hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the match, MUNICIPAL CAROYA's Hector Bernal broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 90th minute Astor Rey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Isidor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes in the game, Atilano Jobo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Evaristo Isidor having to interfere. If Astor Rey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atilano Jobo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Isidor having to interfere. MUNICIPAL CAROYA's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
