Intercontinental Series's Patricio Gonzalez got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Intercontinental Series's Artemio Matia got control of the ball when Matias Faron tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Patricio Gonzalez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 11 played minutes Sportivo Villa Devoto got a freekick which was hit by Jonatan Ciano. In the 16th minute, Rodrigo Ugaitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 17 minutes, Isaac Monte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sportivo Villa Devoto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaac Monte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 22 played minutes Intercontinental Series got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Truylos. In the 24th minute Dalmacio Panfilo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artemio Matia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Intercontinental Series's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmacio Panfilo came free, but Artemio Matia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artemio Matia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmacio Panfilo, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Artemio Matia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmacio Panfilo in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th minute Rafael Truylos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Bela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 36 minutes, Evaristo Malvin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sportivo Villa Devoto and the Intercontinental Series players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sportivo Villa Devoto getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Evaristo Malvin hit a great ball. In the 40thth minute of the game Ciriaco Farias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sportivo Villa Devoto's Eduardo Bela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 42nd minute Dalmacio Panfilo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artemio Matia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matias Faron took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Artemio Matia. Artemio Matia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Intercontinental Series booed when Sportivo Villa Devoto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmacio Panfilo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute, Dalmacio Panfilo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Intercontinental Series's Artemio Matia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Malvin in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th match minute, Sportivo Villa Devoto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amado Montxo to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciriaco Farias got free with Eduardo Bela in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Octavio Irrintzi made in the 62nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jonatan Ciano. The audience was convinced that Dalmacio Panfilo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Artemio Matia was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Ciriaco Farias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Intercontinental Series's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciriaco Farias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduardo Bela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 74th minute, Dalmacio Panfilo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Artemio Matia was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 77 minutes into the match, Constantino Eate dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eduardo Bela, 2-1. After 81 minutes of play, Sportivo Villa Devoto's Dalmacio Panfilo made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Artemio Matia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ciriaco Farias succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-2 in the 90th playminute. In the 94th minute Ciriaco Farias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Bela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sportivo Villa Devoto's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
