Cornelio Hotz helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd rose to their feet as Ranquilcó's Saverio Elivareo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jacinto Cordero. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in santydom's zone, Arsenio Ibon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto Cordero came out of the goal and Arsenio Ibon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of santydom booed when Ranquilcó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliberto Leheren didn't get a good kick on the ball. santydom's Esteve Lluterio got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Saverio Elivareo took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Jacinto Cordero to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Selmo in the 28th minute of play forced Ranquilcó's goalkeeper Jairo Federigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The wind increased when Saverio Elivareo made the kick off in the second half. In the 67th minute, Arsenio Ibon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacinto Cordero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saverio Elivareo, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Jacinto Cordero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Elivareo in the 74th minute of play. Jacinto Cordero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arsenio Ibon's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Arsenio Ibon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Cordero having to interfere. santydom's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
