The referee showed Justo Elequemedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 4 played minutes Ranquilcó got a freekick which was hit by Justo Elequemedo. Chimichurri Fulbo Clu's Roque Godoy got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th minute Paulo Toli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Federigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chimichurri Fulbo Clu's Roque Godoy got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Chimichurri Fulbo Clu's Paulo Toli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jairo Federigo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gregorio Haimar made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Arsenio Ibon sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute Saverio Elivareo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Haimar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Roque Godoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ranquilcó's Jairo Federigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Toli in the 30th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Paulo Toli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jairo Federigo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Ranquilcó booed when Chimichurri Fulbo Clu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nereo Acevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ranquilcó's Jairo Federigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Toli in the 35th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulo Toli to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Paulo Toli recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jairo Federigo. Paulo Toli showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Paulo Toli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saverio Elivareo struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Gregorio Haimar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ranquilcó. After a defensive mix-up in Chimichurri Fulbo Clu's zone, Arsenio Ibon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregorio Haimar came out of the goal and Arsenio Ibon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Saverio Elivareo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ranquilcó's Saverio Elivareo in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chimichurri Fulbo Clu's goalie prevented a goal. Arsenio Ibon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Gregorio Haimar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 80 minutes, Nereo Acevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chimichurri Fulbo Clu and the Ranquilcó players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Chimichurri Fulbo Clu's Nereo Acevedo got a free kick in the 80th minute. Ranquilcó's Justo Elequemedo got his second yellow card of the match in the 84th minute. Jairo Federigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Toli, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 93rd minute Paulo Toli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Federigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Chimichurri Fulbo Clu supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chimichurri Fulbo Clu would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
