The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Truylos got free with Maximino Gasteiz in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ciriaco Farias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Maximino Gasteiz made a huge save. In the 16th minute Patricio Gonzalez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Gasteiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Amaná's goalkeeper Maximino Gasteiz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciriaco Farias. Celso Martinez hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Simon Kismi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Celso Martinez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Benicio Maxin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benicio Maxin in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Artemio Matia saved Intercontinental Series from getting behind. The wind increased when Benicio Maxin made the kick off in the second half. A nice corner shot did that Ariel Joachim got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Artemio Matia quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Amaná getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Celso Martinez hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Intercontinental Series's Tiburcio Quentin got a free kick in the 59th minute. The supporters of Intercontinental Series booed when Amaná was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Kismi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artemio Matia was a little too slow when Benicio Maxin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 1-2. With a little luck, Intercontinental Series's Artemio Matia got control of the ball when Celso Martinez tried to sneak it across the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Benicio Maxin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Artemio Matia, 1-3. In the 73rd minute Ciriaco Farias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Gasteiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 74 played minutes Amaná got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Teofilio. Maximino Gasteiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Ibañez in the 75th minute of play. Benicio Maxin in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Artemio Matia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Maximino Gasteiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Gonzalez, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute, Ariel Joachim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciriaco Farias in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maximino Gasteiz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciriaco Farias in the 89th minute of play forced Amaná's goalkeeper Maximino Gasteiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Benicio Maxin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Artemio Matia. That made the score 1-4 in the 95 minute of play.
