They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adolfo Lico to make the kick off. The supporters of Maquito AFC booed when Nottingham Miedo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaias Jax didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Arnaldo Rafel came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Maquito AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnaldo Rafel couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the match, Maquito AFC's Arnaldo Rafel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Honorato Hegoi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Laureano Acuña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Lico, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
