Spectators: 7267 (Terracing: 5452, Seating: 1671, VIP seats: 144) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Natalio Miliano got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute Miguel Benvido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Aguilera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulises Bermudo during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 10th minute, Ulises Bermudo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Benvido received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edgardo Aguilera came out and tried to block the shot, but Miguel Benvido slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 11th minute. Miguel Benvido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Edgardo Aguilera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Natalio Miliano came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Fogonero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natalio Miliano couldn't finish the play. Pastor Rio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Aguilera having to interfere. Adolfo Toribio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Miguel Benvido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 34 minutes, Pastor Rio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matadores de Pilar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pastor Rio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pastor Rio scored 2-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edgardo Aguilera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpected shot in the 46th minute by Miguel Benvido got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Miguel Benvido made the kick off in the second half. Edgardo Aguilera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Rio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dionisio Sustrai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Donato Bastia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicasio Oro during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natalio Miliano in the 78th minute of play forced Matadores de Pilar's goalkeeper Donato Bastia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgardo Aguilera came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Matadores de Pilar's Pastor Rio. But to his dismay, Pastor Rio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 91st minute, Miguel Benvido left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Matadores de Pilar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Fogonero's Edgardo Aguilera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Rio in the 95th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Matadores de Pilar fully deserved thier win.
